Tuesdays Oh Sweet Tuesdays!

What a blessing yesterday and today have been!
Yesterday was very interesting, Usually I wake up and go straight for the computer to check my emails and to read everyones lovely blog posts, but yesterday I didn't check my computer when I got up I headed straight up stairs and had a cup o' joe.
Then Brian and I headed to our church to see if we could possibly rent some of their equipment (speakers, amp, etc.) Unfortunately the music pastor had just stepped out. We need this equipment for Brian's Grandma's 70th birthday (shh its a suprise party!)
After going to the church we went to the library to return the books I got a few weeks back. Brian tried to pull a fast one (just have me return the books then leave)... little did he know I can't walk into a library without checking the place out! In a nutshell I returned 9 items and walked out with another 8.
Once we returned home that is when I realized something had happened to my yahoo account. Mainly because all of my files (with things like my march sponsor information I had gotten) was all gone! NOda. There was nothing left. Then one of the emails I had received said that someone had probably hacked into my yahoo account because she had received a email that said I was stranded on an island and needed money.... which is so not true! So Thank Your Ashley Marie for telling me otherwise I would of had NO IDEA... I think I took care of the problem but please let me know if you are still receiving these messages.
In the evenning I watched The Voice (which I love... Blake is too funny) and worked on setting up everything for March. It should be up today or tomorrow.
P.S.- Thank You for your prayers!
I went to the bank (in which I had the interview a couple weeks ago) and was offered the job!!!! I accepted and start Monday! Please continue to pray for my nerves as it will take some getting used to waking up at the crack of dawn and working. I am so thankful though! This will help me with my bills and my future. All I have to say to anyone struggling is GOD WILL PROVIDE! Just pray that His will be done and He will provide on His time the perfect fit for you!

Prayer Request

Hey Y'all!
I am going to a meeting for the bank I applied for... I have already applied, been interviewed, and a back ground check has been done... I have no idea why they called me in. But I am hoping thatI will get good news.
Please pray that they hire me. Please pray for my nerves. Please keep me in your prays at 11AM this morning.
I will be back a little later to do the posts that I am behind on.... aka the link ups I am behind on!
P.S. If you have any pray request that you would like me to be praying for you about please either leave a comment or send me an email.

Blog Is Under Construction

Hey Y'all!
I am preparing for March! I am making some changing so if you see a couple things missing from my page it is most likely because I am working on my blog!

Again I apologize and hope that it doesn't occur to any of you.

Hey Y'all!
Okay so today has been a very emotional, joy filled, and inspiring day. I went to a fundraiser for baby Ava DelRicco who you will hear about below. The fundraiser was at a local hair salon and they were doing a Cut-A-Thon for baby Ava.... all you had to do was either Donate or buy raffle tickets.
THis is my new doo thanks to the fundraiser!

Me and Brian bought/gave $45 dollars - $35 in raffle tickets and $10 for my hair cut (even though it was free)... all of which went to Ava and her family.

Here is her story...

The fundraiser as of 3PM had already reached 5,000 dollars.
My Wish For Today
Iis for  us to  come together as a  blog community to pray for Ava , her family, and the man that forever changed her life. Girly Night Last Night

Last night was a blast!
I babysat Abby.
We had a girly night.
Wanna hear all about it???
Well I am gonna tell ya!
I got there a little bit early because Sheri want invited me to dinner.
Abby was taking a shower when I came in because we had a lot planned for the night. Then we all ate dinner. It was really YUMMY!
Then Abby and I started on the Gingerpop Cookie Kit.

This is what the kit box looks like

It took us  alittle bit to find the directions so I figured I would let you know they are on the inside of the box!

We started to mix all the ingredients in the eletric mixer to make the icing: Milk, softened butter, and the icing powder. Then I put half of the icing into one of the icing cone bags. And then Abby was like can we make the other half of the icing pink - so we added about 4 drops of red food coloring to the icing and vola PINK! (which is Abby's favorite color)

Abby getting ready to begin decorating!

So I decided that she would decorate with the pink icing and I would decorate with the white icing.

She is doing such a great job!

Busy at work!

The candy decorations that the kit came with.

Go Abby GO!
About the second to last cookie sandwhich we realized that we had totally forgot to put in the sticks. Haha.

Abby is so funny! I caught her doing this a few times I just had to take a picture!

Licking the yumminess off her fingers.

 Here are the finished products:

Some of the ones I did

Some of the ones Abby did! THAT'S A LOT OF PINK!!!!

After we decorated the Gingerpops I decided that it was desert time for Abby.

I let her eat 2 of the cookiepops she made and 1 small scoop of ice cream.

I also let her watch Spongebob while she ate desert.
Once she was done her desert I was going to do her nail but she didn't want to. So I asked her if she wanted to paint mine and she had sure. Here is the color we did

and here is how it turned out

I thought Abby did an excellent job. I am not sure about the color but maybe I will get used to it. Basically it is black nail polish with purple sparkles in it. Interesting right?!

I read Abby a book and  put her to bed at 8:30PM. Then went into the den and watch some TV: Hardcore Pawning and Who The BEEP Did I Marry.

I continued to check on Abby every 30 minutes or so. And She continued reading until 10:30PM.

Sheri didn't get home until 12:30PM which was fine as I am a night owl. I drove home and called it a night.

And another reason to check out her blog is I AM GUEST POSTING OVER THERE! You got it- we swapped posts. So if you would like to hear my testimony please go check it out over at Kimberly's blog AFTER you read this amazing post she has so graciously blessed my blog with today!

Have you ever been praying about a situation in your life and found yourself waiting for a breakthrough?

Are you wondering why the answer hasn't come yet? Do you feel as though victory is passing you by? Sometimes we might pray long and hard about a situation in our life without receiving any answers, we just learn to live with it. We go on about our business, wondering if or when God will send the answer.

But God does hear those prayers...ALL of them! He is working out the answers in His timing even though we may not know all the details. Our situation might change suddenly, maybe quickly without and warning. Before God moves suddenly, we will wait. Maybe for a little bit, maybe for an entire season.

Waiting for answers for is a fact of life—nobody gets out of it. So the question is...HOW will we wait?  Will we make ourselves fall into misery and ask God "Why?"
Will we step out in faith trusting God and wait for Him pressing forward with a smile on our face?
Passive or Expectant?
We either wait passively, or we wait expectantly. A passive person hopes something good will happen and is willing to sit around waiting to see if it does. After a short time, he gives up, saying, "That’s it! I'm done! I've waited and waited and nothing is happening."

The expectant person, on the other hand, is hopeful, believing the answer is just around the corner, due to arrive any minute. His belief is not a passive thing. His heart is full of hope, trust and  expecting his problem to be solved at any moment. He wakes up every morning expecting to find his answer. He may wait and wait, but suddenly what he’s been waiting for happens and God comes through (as ALWAYS)

Expect It to Happen....Because It Will
It’s just like when a woman is pregnant; it's said that she is expecting a baby. She carries inside her the promise of a baby, and even though she can’t see it, she knows it's there. She can feel it. The moment she learns of her pregnancy, she begins to plan for her baby's arrival. She starts collecting items she will need and busily gets the nursery ready. She actively prepares for the arrival of the baby because she knows the promise will be fulfilled—it's just a matter of time. She is expectant and she'll wait as long as it takes.
Waiting means "to expect" or "to look for." But remember, it also means "to serve"

Our act of waiting isn’t supposed to be spent sitting around passively hoping that something will happen sometime soon. We must get up....get others....and WAIT.

Waiting also gives us the opportunity to grow, learn and wait on God's perfect timing.

When we ask God to answer a question or solve a problem, we need to be eagerly awaiting His answer. We need to be serving actively, aggressively and expectantly. When our hearts are eager to hear from God, He loves to rush in suddenly with His solution.

In many cases this waiting period actually serves as a time of preparation for the answer. If God answered right away, many of us would be ill-prepared to handle His solution.

How great is our God that He is watching over us and preparing us for the perfect time!
Sometimes...maybe a lot of times.... we will find ourselves in such horrible messes that it's hard to imagine waiting one more second. But we need to keep waiting on God and trusting Him with a sweet and simple faith.

When we wait patiently and expectantly on God in the midst of our horrible circumstances, suddenly God breaks through and all of the weight is lifted off of our shoulders!
So don't you ever give up!Don’t you ever stop believing and trusting!

Stay full of hope, trust and expectation.

God's power is limitless, and He'll break through for YOU. ALWAYS.
While writing this post, this song by John Waller came to mind and it was perfect for this post!!

I love this song!
Who has seen the movie Fireproof
For those of you who haven't seen Fireproof,
you must watch it! Great movie!
I think the two most important words in this song are:
Serve &
If we can do these two things while we are waiting on God, it makes it that much easier to get through whatever the trial or circumstance may be.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

P.S : Don't forget to do two things go check out Kimberly's blog where you will find my testimony and if you would like to sponsor me for march check out this post for more information.

Wish! {Out Loud} #10

Hey Y'all so I am wishin out loud today! Who doesn't love that! But before I start wishin' hopin' prayin' can I just say that I am so excited for where my blog is going. I see it growing and I am so excited for ALL MY Followers and visitors! I am so blessed to have readers and lovely blog friends who leave me comment love. So can I just say THANK YOU for being a major blessing and encouragement to my life!

Onward to the wishin' . . .

Today I wish that I would get my act together. Let me explain, I have been unemployed since June 2011 (I do work part time as a nanny which I love), but I feel like through this break from steady work I have wasted a lot of time. Most days are wasted on sleeping... because apparently when you are unemployed you don't have a reason to wake up. I want to do so many thing such as work on my blog, get organized, open an etsy shop/shop, read and do the basic everyday things like laundry, dishes and straightening. Especially because I might have a job by next week as a bank teller- but I want God's will to be done with that if He doesn't want me there then He will open up another opportunity for my life. How great is our God! There are endless possibilities for our lives and I am so excited to see where God would have me! I mean He has already lead me to each one of you readers!

My name is ilene.
The nickname illy comes from my best friend (now fiance! We're getting married!!). He started calling me lil' illy, which was shorted to illy. But you won't ever hear him call me that regularly. it's more of a joke that stuck; however, when it comes to notes or emails, you'll find that nickname somewhere in there. I love life and try my best to savor every single sec of it. I'm learning and growing. Not perfect but I'm living. The most important thing in my life is my relationship with Christ, followed with my love for Ryan and my family. A few of my favorite things include: Art. Writing. Coffee. The color green. Popcorn. Music. Movies.. Shopping. Blogging. Nail polish. Laughter. And this is my blog. Random, spontaneous ramblings of my life.

This blog is simply a place to share the beauty I see in my life, whether it's a major life changing moment or something as simple as an evening walk with my man. Of course, there are going to be trails in our lives. But along the way, I choose to look for beauty... in the ordinary, and extraordinary moments. Beauty is everywhere if we choose [i.e., it's our attitude = our life] to look for it. “For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it." - Ivan Panin I love Jesus and desire to glorify Him in all that I do. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is my everything.

But, I've also lived in a variety of states. I like a little bit of everything. So you won't see this blog being specifically about fashion or food.
It'll be about all things me.

Guest Post from Ashley Marie!

Y'all! I am so excited to introduce you to my blog friend and today's guest poster: Ashley Marie!!!!!!!!! She is going to share with us something that she is very passionate about! I so hope you enjoy her post!

Let's talk music, Homie. What the what!?

Music makes my heart sing like daffodils in the sunshine... like canaries in a gilded cage... like a virgin on her first date... like, well, you get it! I couldn't live without it. You know that question that never seems to go out of style? "If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you take with you?" I don't even flinch before I spout out "MUSIC!" like my life depended on it. I love it all... I grew up on gospel and country (love me some Reba!); spent high school with love songs by Dave Matthews Band, Goo Goo Dolls, and John Mayer; experienced college with some weird ones no one has ever heard of; and the following 5 years drenched in a healthy history of punk, classic rock, and indie galore! I even owned my own music venue in my small town to help the talented get noticed!

Here lately, one of my favorite trending genre's is being coined as 'Electropop'. With heady influences of amazing past artists, these musicians are paving the yellow brick road to the current here and now with catchy beats you just can't deny!

I don't claim to know crap about what makes good music. Music to me is like wine - everyone has a different taste and some people know too much. You just gotta know what you like and soak up as much information as you can about it. I do know what I like... and I seem to be on point sometimes with the crowd. Soooo, yeah. Check these guys out:

Want more? Come love on me at!
x - Ashley Marie

Can I just say THANK YOU Ashley!
And please go to Ashley's blog and give her some comment love!

Have a great Thursday!
P.S.: If you would like to guest post on my blog feel free to email me: Unmaskedlife{at}yahoo{dot}com I would love to have you!

Amazing Love!

First off happy Valentines Day!
Can I be honest with you for a second, in the past I have either loved or hated today (depending on if I was taken or single). I wanted to feel loved on Valentines Day. I wanted to be showered with gifts and flowers on Valentines Day. But mostly I wanted to have a Mister to call my own.
Over the past couple years I have been single. I have HATED Valentines day and disliked everyone who was enjoy it. I despised those who had a man to call their own. I had a hard time watching love stories where the guy and gal fall in love and live happily every after. I became mad at God for not giving me what I needed, what I wanted.
This year though God has revealed to me that I have a mister. I have a love like no other. I have ALL that I need. I am showered with blessings and gifts everyday (that won't die after a week). And I can live with a pure knowledge that when Valentines Day comes I will know without a doubt that God is my Valentine!

And when Valentines Day end God's love doesn't. . . His love for me is constant. He will always be here for me. He is all that I need. And He is all that I have every wanted.
Ephesians 5: 1-2
Let us not only know that God is LOVE and He is all that we need. But let us also show others the LOVE God has poured into us. And let us give thanks and praise!

Sponsors Unmasked February Edition Pt. 1

I would love to share with you the lovely ladies that did a sponsor swap with me for the month of February. I asked them to not only introduce themselves and provide ways for you all to connect with them but also to say 5 things they love (for V-tines day *those without answers I did not receive). So without further ado may I introduce:

Hi! I'm Bailey from my little blog, Lost&Found.   I ramble about life, love, fashion, food, running, travel, and pretty much everything else that makes my life, my life.  I am engaged to my best friend and have two fur babies, Moose and Frankenstein.  Head over and say Hi!  I love meeting new friends!

 5 things I love:
-Traveling with my fiance
-Great food- especially cheese!
-Playing in the snow.
-My fur babies- Moose and Frankenstein
-Running and staying active, with equal time spent being lazy :)
Hey! Yo! I am Ashley Marie. I combined my two favorite nicknames for my favorite lovely ladies "Chickadee" and "Dude-ette" to come up with a combo of every alter ego I have: Chickadette. After years of exerting the different aspects of my multiple contradicting personalities (ie: Punk Rock, Martha Stewart, Extremely Bashful Model, Refined Yet Trashy Housewife, and Hardcore Laid Back Mommy), I've finally figured out a state of mind that's just exactly who I am. I live my life one experience at a time and mostly have a total-freakin-blast doing so! This blog is where I log the pieces of my mind and inspirations from music, fashion, friends and family. I also sell vintage stuff. . .and I think I'm funny.

5 things I love:
1. Brett
2. naptimes with Aiden Gray
3. Gypsy & Bandit (my kittens)
4. music
5. Tumblr
Hi, I'm Kassie. I'm a twentysomething that has a day job working for the man.  I spend most of my free time letting my schnoodle, Theo, entertain me and dabbling in photography.  Oh, and now working on my newest project...this blog!  Here you will find random tidbits from my daily adventures in fashion, cooking and life.  I'm guessing there will also be a lot of photography!
These are the lovely ladies that swapped with me. Tune in Wednesday for the other sponsors.
P.S.: My interview went well this morning! I won't know if I am hired until Friday.
