Weekly Goals & Prayer

Hey Y'all!  Hope you had an amazing weekend. I know I did. Busy as usual. This weekend marks the 6th year of my mother passing away. I know she is in Heaven though living it up! I have been busy with my Beth Moore workbook/homework. Still have a day to do and my small group is at 6:30 tonight! I hope to be as passionate about God's word as Beth Moore is. She is so filled with the Holy Spirit and such an inspiration to all who have a chance to see, hear or read her. Yesterday was quite a busy day we had a few events after church services mainly about missions and some of the missionaries that attend our church also yesterday evening was our MLT Meeting for leaders (anyone) to come and see what the church goals are for the coming month, to hear what goals were met for the month before and to be challeneged to be a better leader within the church, our homes, and our works. There is an event that I am debating on going to some of you might have heard about it... it is call the Global Leadership Summit. Its where all these leaders come together and share and it is broadcasted all over. These leaders range from business leaders, to church leaders, to ordinary everyday leaders. The thing that is holding me back is the $75 that I would have to pay to go in August.... so I am budgetting and praying about it.

Here are some of my goals for this week:
1. Finish the Jesus the One and Only homework before small group tonight
2. Get Abby a birthday present before her birthday party (If you have any ideas for a 10 year old girl please comment below!)
3. Send out thank you cards
4. Go to Bank of America to inquire as to why they opened my primary account when I closed it in March??!!??
5. Pay my loan payments. Support Ester!!! (Which I need to do a blog post on her!
6. Eat healthier & exercise. (If you have any tips and tricks for eating right and exercising please comment below!)
7. Stick to my monthly budget!
8. Go through all my things and get ride of stuff whether through yard sale or donate to a good cause like good will, sarah's house, etc.
9. Make up some business cards.
10. Keep a look out for my Mary Kay order. (I am active again!)
11. Read at least a chapter a day of 1000 Days by Johnathan Falwell (SUCH A GOOD BOOK!!!!)
12. Pray without ceasing. If you have any prayer request feel free to email them to me I would love to pray for y'all. Please put prayer request as the subject.
13. To clean out my car, desk, and room and organize them.

If y'all could pray for me that would be great. My prayer request for this week is that I would trust God with my life and fully surrender all to Him.

Thanks Y'all!

Little Inspirations

Hope everyone is having an amazing Thursday! I know I am and the work day is almost over so that makes today even better.Oh I meant to tell y'all I went to my small group last night about serving the Fatherless. I am really excited about this group. Not only did God specifically call each member of the group in for different reasons but everyone in the group has a heart and a passion for serving the Fatherless specifically foster children and fatherless children near and far. Oh man am I excited about this group for the shear joy of seeing what God has planned for us within the group.

Are any of you currently in a small group or bible study? If so (and if you are comfortable) please leave a comment telling me what all your group is about! I would love to hear.

Today Is Tuesday.

So I went to my Beth Moore small group last night. It was absolutely amazing. Beth Moore is so fired up about the Lord she really is inspiring and encouraging. For those of you who didn't read my post yesterday I am participating in a small group on Beth Moore's One and Only DVD. Last night we had about 5 other women come to the small group and I can't wait to see who all joins in next Monday night.

Also, I am VERY VERY EXCITED for Wednesday nights small group which is entitled Fatherless. It is a mixed group and it is a service group. We will also study God's word on serving others- especially widows and orphans. I cannot wait! I am so fired up to start this group tomorrow night! I will definitely tell you all about it.

I want to also share with you 10 books that I absolutely LOVE:
1. The Bible. This is the ultimate book y'all! God's living word. Every time I read it God reveals something to me that I either need to hear and apply or be challenged by.
2. Into The Wild. This book is about a young man who decided to retreat into the Alaskan wilderness and live among the land. It is about his life journey. (If you are interested in reading a used book I have one copy if you would like to leave me a comment below with contact information I will send it to you. This is first come first serve.)
3. Heaven Is For Real. This book really breaks down heaven into the simplest form. It is about a child's experience in Heaven. It is a true story.
4. Crazy Love. This book is about God's amazing love for us. It is inspiring and yet has challenge. It is a really good book. (If you are interested in this book I do have 1 used copy leave me a comment with you email and I will sent it to you- first come first serve).
5. Forgotten God. Another challenging and eye opening book about how today God is less of the focus and how sad that reality is. It challenges the reader to not be one of those people that puts God on the back burner but who puts God where He desires to be- in the center of our lives. ( I have 1 used copy of this book I will send just leave a comment with your email below- first come first serve).
6. Captivating. SUCH A GOOD BOOK. You need to read it. (I have 1 used copy of this book I will send just leave me a comment with your email below- first come first serve).
7. Passion And Purity. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! (I have a used copy if you leave a comment below with your email I will send it to you-first come first serve.)
8. God Came Near. This book is about Jesus. So good and by my favorite author Max Lucado. (I have a used copy please leave me a comment with your email if you are interested and I will send it to you, first come first serve.
9. Come Thirsty. Is a must read. (Leave a comment with your email and I wills end it to you- I have one copy so its first come first serve).
10. Twelve Extraordinary Women. Great book amazing women. (I have 1 copy please leave a comment with your email if you are interested in this book and I will send it to you- first come first serve).

Please if you leave me a comment below with your email please tell me which book(s) you would like me to send you. Thank you.

Where Did The Weekend Go???

Did anyone else feel like the weekend zipped right on by???
Friday night I didn't do too too much. Just kinda hung out. But MAN were Saturday and Sunday CRAZY BUSY!!! Saturday I got up around 8:30AM got ready in like 10 minutes and headed over to Sheri's house. Once there I help Sheri get ready for her house to be shown which meant picking up everything and make the house look like a model home. Then around 10:15AM Sheri and I went out to go shopping. We went to Marshalls and I found A LOT of things that I LOVED - which is rare for me. So we bought $140 worth of clothes there for me. Then we stopped at Norstrom specifically the MAC counter so that Sheri could get some more foundation. Which ended with her getting a complete makeover and us seeing one of the models for their Sailor Mac Event tap dance. It was awesome! Then we went to rackroom and both of us got a pair of wedges- My first pair! Unfortunately I can't show them off yet because they had to order our size. But I promise when they come in I will! Then we topped off our shopping experience with a cup of Jo from Starbucks. After that we went to my grandma friends 50th Anniversary Surprise Party. It was fun and the food was delicious!

Sunday I woke up at 8:15AM went up stairs to take a shower and someone was already in the bathroom!!! Can you believe that??? Don't the people I like with know that I must take a shower?? Ha ha. So I waited until like 8:35AM to take my shower. Which means that I was right on time to church considering we only had 1 service this Sunday at 9:15AM since we would be having our Church Picnic at 3PM. The message was really good. Unfortunately, I wouldn't make the church picnic as I had to chaperon Abby's birthday party at Clay Bakers. The party consisted of 7 girls that had crazy amounts of energy and no volume control. But it was fun to see everyone hard at work painting the pottery they picked out. Then we got to sing, eat birthday cake, and open presents. Abby was thrilled with all the wonderful gifts she received. Her birthday is on the 13th of June so we shall see what she gets on her actually birthday. She is hoping for a Ipod Touch. After the party Sheri's neighbors invited us to eat some crabs they caught. Its was so yummy! Then we returned to Sheri's house and ate pot roast, edamame, grilled veggies and couscous. Then I headed back home and finished the night out watching Call Of The Wild Man-- that guy is crazy!!!!!

Hope y'all had a wonderful weekend.
I can't wait for tonight I start a small group on Beth Moore's Jesus The One  and Only!

Heaven In Her Arms By Catherine Hickem Review

This is my second review for booksneeze.com and I was really excited about reading this book. To be honest thought I found this book disappointing. Don’t get me wrong the book context is great and full of truth and inspiration but for me I was thinking the book would be more about Mary and her faith then it would be about modern day mothers and their stories. Since I am not a mother myself I couldn’t relate to this book hardly at all… and when I could it was only because I have babysat and nanny children. The parts about Mary, her faith and relationship with Jesus and other mothers were very well said. She was the ultimate mother and woman of faith. If you read this book for nothing else but to get a glimpse of who Mary was then I would say pick this book up and read it right now! If you are a mother and would like to read a book that not only make you feel like you aren’t the only one struggling with your faith and your children then pick this book up and read it now. If you are single or do not have children of your own I would say that it is completely up to you… if you want to read it to build a basis for your future family go ahead but if you are looking for a book strictly on the life of Mary then I would say disregard this book simply because so much of it was written for mothers. Thank you for your time I hope you enjoyed my review of Heaven in Her Arms by Catherine Hickem.
